Let’s face it – we all work too hard. If not every day, then certainly many more days than we’d like.
So what better day to think about a lobster and clam bake than today (yes, someone, somewhere, has actually dubbed today “National Lobster Day”) – with Father’s Day on Sunday and the 4th of July right around the corner!
I came across this item today – on National Lobster Day (of course!) – and just had to pass it along. You can get one of your own – and plan your own memorable summer party! – right here:
Doesn’t that look like EXACTLY the way you want to spend at least a little time next time you have an afternoon free?
Now, it’s true that I now live in Downeast Maine and lobster can be had on virtually any corner (in restaurants) or dock (at what are known as “lobster pounds” – outdoor eating at its finest, IMHO). But you don’t have to wait for a trip to Maine to enjoy fresh lobster, clams, crab and other seafood. Using this 19-qt. Lobster Steamer, you can cook up enough for all your friends and family right at home. The pot is designed to hold your seafood in the top pot and your water in the bottom, so instead of risking over-boiling your food, you get freshly steamed and ready to serve succulent results. The juicy broth captured in the bottom can be saved for making stews, bouillabaisse, chowder and sauces. The handy faucet spigot lets you easily drain or siphon off the liquid without wasting a drop.
P.S. I realize you may have to consciously CREATE a free afternoon for yourself. If so – DO IT. You deserve it! Summer only comes once a year! 🙂
